Hard sun

EDDIE VEDDER LYRICS – Hard Sun Lyrics

When I walk beside her
I am the better man
when i look to leave her
I always stagger back again

Once I built an ivory tower
so I could worship from above
when I climb down to be set free
she took me in again

CHORUS
There’s a big
a big hard sun
beating on the big people
in the big hard world

When she comes to greet me
she is mercy at my feet
I see her inner charm
she just throws it back at me

Once I dug an early grave
to find a better land
she just smiled and laughed at me
and took her rules back again

CHORUS

Once I stood to lose her
and I saw what i had done
bowed down and threw away the hours
of her garden and her sun

So I tried to want her
I turned to see her weep
40 days and 40 nights
and its still coming down on me

CHORUS

Man, I feel like a…

Try getting that song out of your head now!

(I’m sorry.)

Anyway, the point of that was to say that I feel extra feminine today, my friend Jess and I went to the salon and got our hair done. First time in a longgg time since I did that. I don’t recall ever going with a friend other then my mom. It was nice.

This is the end product:

Listening to: Suburban War – Arcade Fire

Pull on through

BULLY – Lissie

Run ragged and wrecked
Catching a tiger
Baiting a bully
Was this my idea
Is it a mistake
Why did you take me here

(Am I too far from home
Am I really all alone)

Walkchild don’t run
Go off and have fun
We’ll be waiting
Just look before you cross
Take love with the loss
I know it’s frusrating

Mama’s here and your papa too
And we are so darn proud of you

Proud of you….

Reach but don’t push it away
Say nice words and play
With intention
Practice restraint
Find out what matters
I know your heart’s been broken
But martyrs never open doors
The world is yours
Carry this torch
And use your voice

All of us who turned into you
We’re sure hoping that you pull on through
Pull on through…
