Labrador Hygge

I just finished reading a book called The Little Book of Hygge: The Danish Way to Live Well by Meik Wiking. It became very clear to me that Hygge is something that many families I know practice without even knowing it to be a ‘thing.’

Hygge is, in short, the art of cosiness. It is about surrounding yourself with intimately chosen objects and practicing activities that make you feel safe and at home (even when you’re not at home!) I compiled a list of practices and objects I consider my self-Hygge.

I should note that I journalled about this by hand first, in my room by light of a warm glowing lamp! I have to admit I’m a wannabe Dane.

Can you think of any ways you already incorporate Hygge in your life?
