To the moon and back

When I feel alone, I look at the moon. I know that thousands of people the world over are looking at the same moon. They might not have the same feelings that I do, but they are feeling and hurting and the glow of the moon settles their soul.. if only for a moment. In that moment, we’re one person.

Whenever I feel alone, I look at the moon. I imagine myself years from now, looking at the moon and thinking, how far have I come? Will this matter five years from now? Maybe. Maybe not.

Whenever I feel alone, I look at the moon. It brings enough empathy that I can rest if only for a moment. In that moment, we’re still one person.

Whenever I feel alone, I look for the moon. Sometimes it’s not there, it’s hidden behind the clouds and I need to find myself for myself. I’ll always keep searching, for in that moment, I’m a whole person.

To the moon and back,

M.
