I wish every day were like today.

This morning a friend and I got up early and checked out some yard sales. Goose Bay is famous (amongst the coast crowd, myself included) for yard sales in the summer and fall. I got some real gems this time, I absolutely love old jewellery, the older the better. You’ll see some pics below.

It also got to 23’c which is rare this time of year for this part of the province, so that meant that the bike had to come out. I went for an extended ride through the trail systems behind the area of town where I live and it was awesome. The only thing that would have made it better would have been some company.

I hope the rest of today is equally as good.

  1. It looks wonderful there, Are those aspens or maybe birch trees, these photos remind me of New Hampshire P.S, did you scratch your dogs belly, what a great post,

  2. It is truly awesome living here. Those bright orange trees are birch. There are almost as many birch here as there are evergreen. Makes for a gorgeous view with cycling or walking.
    And yes, I did scratch JoJo’s belly, she’s a good girl 🙂
    Thanks for the compliment!

  3. Great series of shots. I particularly like the ‘Abandon’ composition and the striking compositions of the trees (remains of a fire?). 🙂

  4. Thank you very much, and yes, that was a ‘minor’ forest fire from two years ago. Funny thing about burned trees, you feel bad for them but they’re so beautiful at the same time.

Say anything.
