Special project

‘Afternoon blog-land! I’ve got a few things to tell you in this edition; in no particular order:

First, my classmate Carol and I are embarking on a special project – We’re in the planning stages of getting contacts and conducting interviews for a book we’re compiling on the Qalipu Mi’Kmaq band elders (St. George’s portion). We feel that the stories of their past shouldn’t fade away and we’re hoping to profile as many elders as would love to participate.

Secondly, I finally have a new camera lens and it’s a beauty. I bought a 50mm 1.8 portrait lens and I’m having so much fun with it.

Third, I made a new watermark today. I love adobe.

Fourth, I have two stories due next week (which is not a complaint!) but I’m struggling to find something to write about that isn’t already being written about by other news organizations or my 16 classmates. Help?

Fifth. Here’s a photo that I took of my beautiful classmate, Melanie. We were experimenting with lighting in a impromptu photo session.
