Dad

Today is Father’s day. My dad is back in my hometown of St. Lewis, where I wish I could be today.  I won’t get a chance to get home again until August. Every time I go home everything is the same (just the way I like it) and it feels like I never left. This time it’s going to be different though, since my grandfather passed away. That has left a lot of the wide open spaces feel very closed off and alone.

I have a question that I would love answered. To all the dads out there who may just be reading this blog post — how do you feel about Father’s day? does it feel special to you? how so?

This is all I have for today. Hope everyone enjoys today – if you can, hug your dad. He’ll appreciate it and you will too.
