Finding the time

Hello stranger. Wow it seems like forever since I was able to even be on the internet, let alone blog. These past two weeks went by so fast, but you wouldn’t say that if you had to pack and unpack everything that we did. In the midst of all that packing and travelling, I did a Wedding shoot on the South Coast of Labrador. It was a great time, but being the only photographer on site I was a little exhausted. I started my day at 6am and finished taking pictures at 10:30pm. I also did the brides Nails & Make Up, I’m pretty much a Jackie-of-all-trades.

Anyways, this is going to be quick because I still have a ton of things to do before I register for school on Sunday, yes, Sunday. Hope everyone is doing well, I’ll be updating more often now that I’m semi-settled. 🙂

Weak Signal

This is going to be a short post because I have less then 1 bar of signal strength for the internet here. My Mom and I had a mother-daughter weekend on the Quebec north shore and I took a ton of pictures, unfortunately I packed up my camera cord and sent it to Stephenville, and my card reader won’t read the type of card I have in my CyberShot camera. Craptacular!

I’m having a pretty good time here on the south coast I must say, but today was rather unamusing. I can’t wait to pick up Aaron from Port Hope Simpson, I haven’t seen him in a week because he’s been in Stephenville with his parents to drop off our moving boxes. I’m waiting for his call now. In the meantime, here’s a picture that I took last night. This one is from my bedroom (old bedroom) window, I spent many hours gazing out at the stars from here as a teenager.

I’ll be surprised if my connection lasts long enough to post this so I won’t even bother spell checking anything haha. Hope everyone’s summer is going well, I’ll post again later if I can.

Peace!

It’s too DARK!

Ha ha, I found myself saying that A LOT tonight when Howard Haby & I went on a little photo excursion. The original plan was to assist Howard with his photographing of a local musician, but that didn’t quite pan out. After a short wait, we decided to take a few snaps up around C-side.. not much point in wasting a nice evening right? besides the mosquitoes really did need to be fed.

Turns out I have quite a bit to learn when it comes to flash photography, and photography in general. I get by, but my skills need some fine tuning. It was kind of embarassing to have someone tell you what to do all the time, but hey, that’s what learning is like and so be it. It was all good fun anyway! I’d do it again.

I got some good pictures, a couple of them are pretty random but I was trying out some different lenses and light schemes and these are my favorites out of what I took tonight. Thanks for the opportunity Howard, if I ever learn to do anything better then you can with a camera I have the right to gloat! I felt like a fifth grader tonight lol!

Bonne nuit!
